Whitefish puts out call for board members

The city of Whitefish has openings on several boards and committees.

The deadline to apply is Nov. 10 and interviews will be held Nov. 21 and Dec. 5.

The openings include:

 Whitefish City-County Planning Board: Two-year terms, two positions — applicants must reside within Whitefish city limits.

 Whitefish Lake and Lakeshore Protection Committee: Three-year terms, one position — applicants must live within Whitefish city limits.

 Housing Authority: Five-year term, one position — open to city residents or people who live within 10 miles of Whitefish.

 Impact Fee Advisory Committee: Two-year term, one position – The open position is for the representative of the development community. Committee specifications require that members either live or work within the Whitefish zoning jurisdiction. The committee meets once a year.

Board of Adjustment: Three-year terms, three positions — open to residents of the city or its zoning jurisdiction. (One position is in the zoning area outside city limits).

Interested citizens may submit letters of interest to the Whitefish City Clerk’s Office at 418 E. 2nd St. or mail them to P.O. Box 158, Whitefish, MT 59937.
