Pairings, times set for state volleyball tournament

Flathead, Glacier, Polson and Whitefish will open play on Thursday at the All-Class State Volleyball Tournament at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse on the campus of Montana State University in Bozeman.

Flathead, the third seed from Western AA, will face Billings West, the No. 2 seed from Eastern AA, at noon.

Glacier, the fourth seed from Western AA, will play Eastern AA's top seed Billings Senior at 2 p.m.

If Flathead and Glacier win, they will play again Thursday at 6 and 8 p.m., respectively. If they lose, they drop into loser-out play on Friday at 10 a.m. and noon, respectively.

Flathead and Glacier are in opposite brackets.

Northwestern A divisional winner and regular-season champion Polson will play Belgrade, the No. 2 seed from Central A, at 10 a.m.

Whitefish, the Northwestern A divisional runner-up, will face Central A champion Lewistown at 4 p.m.

If Polson and Whitefish win, they will play again Thursday at 6 and 8 p.m., respectively. If they lose, they drop into loser-out play on Friday at 10 a.m. and noon, respectively.

Polson and Whitefish are also in opposite brackets.

The tournament runs through Saturday.
