Ethel Diane (Clayborn) Mattingly, 56, “was called home on the wings of an eagle to be with the Lord, her parents and sisters” on Nov. 15, 2011, at Whitefish Care and Rehabilitation in Whitefish.

She was born on Aug. 21, 1955, in Butte, to Tommy and Sarah Clayborn. She grew up on the Oregon Coast and Great Falls, where she attended schools.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Ramona, Julia, Cora, Laura, Doris and Minnie.

She is survived by her sons, Joshua and wife Jolene Mattingly of Kalispell, and Presley Mattingly of Billings; daughter, Brandy, and husband, Mark Dofelmire, of Kalispell; grandchildren, Cheyenne, Derek and Jamayla Mattingly; sisters, Evon and husband Dan Behrens of Kalispell, Evelyn Gladeau of Great Falls, Eleanor and husband and Warren Currie of Winston, Ore., Shirley Geaudry of Sutherlan, Ore., and Lynn and husband Jeff Chase; one brother, John, and wife, Vivian, of Columbia Falls; and many special nieces, nephews and cousins.
