Deer poached at Eagle Bend Golf Course

| November 18, 2011 10:16 PM

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is seeking information on a deer poaching incident at the Eagle Bend Golf Course on Thursday evening.

Individuals in a vehicle that was on a golf course cart path off Chapman Hills Road fired several shots, killing a whitetail buck in the Ridge Estates subdivision.

The buck was not retrieved and the vehicle left the area on the cart path back to the Chapman Hills Road.

Concerned residents called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, which responded along with a Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks warden.

The vehicle was described as being a small, four-door, dark brown or gray square-looking sport utility vehicle with a rack on top. Anyone with information about the vehicle or the individuals involved are urged to call Warden Sergeant Jon Obst at 270-7748 or call 1-800-TIPMONT.
