Woman faces series of charges
A 23-year-old woman facing multiple charges stemming from an incident on Oct. 6 pleaded not guilty to all of them recently in Flathead District Court before Judge David Ortley.
Natasha Morgan is charged with felony assault with a weapon and misdemeanor partner or family member assault resulting in bodily injury as a result of the initial incident, as well as felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs, misdemeanor criminal possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor obstructing a peace officer related to her arrest.
According to charging documents, Morgan and her ex-boyfriend crossed paths at a gas station on Oct. 6, and they had a conversation, which led to him allowing her to use his phone.
When she refused to return the phone he threatened to call police, at which point she struck him in the face with what he described as a miniature baseball bat, causing his mouth to fill with blood, making his vision blurry and breaking his nose.
Another charging document alleges a Kalispell Police Department officer responded to a verbal disturbance on Oct. 11, where he located a woman and asked if her name was Natasha. She claimed her name was Bianca Funderburch, but was eventually determined to be Natasha Morgan.
When she was searched before being arrested, Morgan was found to be in possession with a “drug kit” including hypodermic needles, morphine and pills.
