Nationals shake Quake in OT

WHITEFISH - Kyle Watne scored at the 3:20 mark of overtime, lifting the Glacier Nationals to a 5-4 victory Saturday over the Yellowstone Quake (10-10) to close out an eight-game homestand.

Tucker Spooner assisted on the game-winning goal.

Spooner tied the Northern Pacific Hockey League contest at 4-4 at 6:20 in the third period.

Also scoring goals for Glacier were Michael Noe, Paul Kinder, and Tim Munoz on a power play.

It was the first overtime contest of the season for the Nationals (3-15).

The win also snapped an eight-game losing streak.

Glacier is back on the ice Dec. 1 at Southern Oregon.
