Drunk man reportedly tried to break down door

Deputies with the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man on Canyon Road in Hungry Horse after it was reported he had been drunk and assaulting the caller. The caller reported he had locked himself in another room but the man tried to break down the door. There were also several small children in the home.

A resident of Two Mile Drive in Kalispell reported a neighbor shot a deer too close to a residence.

A 1995 Chevrolet Blazer with a Nevada license plate was reported stolen from Hidden Waters Lane in Kalispell.

A resident of Lupine Ridge Road in Bigfork said that he had offered to let a man who was “down on his luck” have a car if he fixed another car. Apparently, with his luck changed, the second man decided to take both vehicles, and the Bigfork man said he found one of them in a wrecking yard.

It was reported that several mailboxes in the neighborhood surrounding Willow Glen Drive had been gone through and mail was found in a ditch.

A rifle valued at $1,000 was reported stolen from a vehicle on Appleway Drive in Kalispell.

A television, DVD player, stereo, radio and vacuum were reported stolen from a unit on Winter Lane in Whitefish as well as the keys to the unit.

A checkbook was reported stolen from a vehicle on Forest Drive in Evergreen.

An electrical box was reported stolen from a trailer home on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell.

Half a tank of gas, between 25 and 28 gallons, was reported siphoned from a U-Haul truck on East Reserve Drive north of Evergreen.

A bag of dirty laundry was reported stolen from a vehicle on Grand Drive in Bigfork.

The Kalispell Police Department received a report from a woman who said a man got in her car and took her briefcase while she was dropping her youngest daughter off at a day care on Airport Road. She also said her two older daughters were in the car when it happened.

A man was cited for driving with a suspended license and shoplifting after being apprehended by employees after trying to steal from a business on U.S. 93 South.

A small dirt bike and a cordless drill were reported stolen from a garage on Second Avenue West North.

The Whitefish Police Department received  theft reports on Wisconsin Avenue and on U.S. 93 South.

Officers with the Columbia Falls Police Department responded to a fight between students on Talbot Road.

Deputies with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office found a person to be in possession of dangerous drugs while investigating a reported probation violation at Lake County Youth Court.

Officers with the Polson Police Department arrested a person on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia while responding to a report of suspicious activity on Fifth Avenue West near First Street West.
