Loggers blank Belgrade, 4-0

LIBBY - Libby spread it around offensively with four different players scoring as the Loggers blanked Belgrade 4-0 in Class A boys soccer play on Friday.

Scoring for the Loggers were Andrew Petersen, Talus Martin, Jordan Quinn and Jason Schnackenberg.

Libby (1-1) outshot Belgrade on goal 12-3 and led in corner kicks 12-0.

COLUMBIA FALLS - Caleb Baumann scored twice for Columbia Falls (1-2), but it wasn't quite enough as Livingston pulled out the nonconference victory.

"Probably the best team we played so far," Columbia Falls coach Peter Browne said of Livingston.

"The kids (Wildcats) played pretty well."

Browne said Dylan Corbett had "a good game" in the midfield.

"It was great seeing Baumann getting a couple goals," Browne added.

"We just need to get better every week. They played with their hearts tonight."

"We were unhappy with the result, but we are improving. We're definitely improving, game by game," said Whitefish coach O'Brien Byrd.

Thomas Clark had seven keeper saves for the Bulldogs (1-2).

COLUMBIA FALLS - Danielle Delventhal scored three goals and McKenzie Kiser had two goals and two assists as Columbia Falls rolled to another easy victory.

The Wildkats (3-0) have outscored the opposition 25-1 thus far.

"I thought our first half was just great," Columbia Falls coach Greg Trenerry said.

"The girls played with great composure, played pretty soccer, passed well and finished well. In the second half we got complacent at times. But this was our toughest game yet even though the score doesn't show it."

BILLINGS - In a rematch of last year's championship match, Billings Central prevailed again.

Whitefish (1-1) scored first, just four minutes into play on a shot by Megan Danczyk, but it was all Billings Central after that.

The Rams put the match away with four second-half goals.

"We came out from the start and got on them early," Whitefish coach Wendy Farrens said.

"The whole team played really hard, really well. Billings is a great team, very well coached. We're three weeks into the season and we have a lot to work on."
