Debra 'Debi' Ann Burton, 58
Debra “Debi” Ann Burton died at the age of 58 on Sept. 11, 2011, at Northwest Health Center in Kalispell.
She was born Sept. 10, 1953, in Whittier, Calif. Debi graduated from California High School in Whittier in 1971.
She loved being around people. At age 16, she helped her mom hosting at the restaurant where her mom worked. Her passion for clothes began when she graduated high school and she went to work for a women’s clothing boutique in Whittier.
Debi married in 1973 and moved to Montana shortly thereafter. Her son Justin was born in 1983.
She became the manager of the Jean Factory Clothes Gallery in Kalispell. Her dream came true when she opened her own store, Impressions, in Bigfork, in 1986. This year she celebrated the 25th anniversary of Impressions.
She enjoyed traveling with family and friends, which also included many, many clothing markets.
Survivors include Bill Burton of Bigfork; her son, Justin; sister, Sharon Honn; and brother, Jerry Van Leeuwen. There are many other family members and close friends whom she deeply loved.
Her life will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at Crossroads Christian Fellowship in Bigfork. Interment will follow at Bigfork Community Cemetery. Viewing will be held from noon to 6 p.m. today, Sept. 16, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home.
