Wolfpack girls, boys fall to Big Sky in soccer
MISSOULA - Glacier tied Saturday's Western AA girls soccer match with Missoula Big Sky on a goal by Abretia Crandell in the 33rd minute, but the Eagles followed with two goals to claim a 3-1 victory.
Katie McKay, who assisted on Big Sky's first score by Courtney Reep, found the net at 40 minutes to give Big Sky a 2-1 edge at the half.
Big Sky added an insurance goal by Kara Altenbrum at 79 minutes.
Big Shot led in shots on goal, 17-12. Both teams had two corner kicks.
Taylor Anderson had nine goalie saves for Glacier (0-5-1 overall and league).
Glacier plays at Missoula Sentinel on Saturday, 2 p.m.

BIGFORK - Myka Forster's goal off a penalty kick at 68 minutes gave Libby a tie with Bigfork in Northern A play.
Emily Stephens scored at the 38-minute mark to give Bigfork a 1-0 halftime lead.
Statistics favored Bigfork. The Valkyries outshot Libby 10-4 on goal and 4-2 in corner kicks.
Jazzmyn Musser had two keeper saves for Bigfork.
Bigfork, winless on the season, plays at Polson on Thursday, 3 p.m.

MISSOULA - Nic Frontespezi scored on a direct kick following a yellow card on Glacier 12 minutes into play and that goal held up as Big Sky walked off the field with a Western AA victory.
It was the first 1-0 match of the season for Glacier (2-1-3 overall and league).
"Certainly a disappointing performance for us," Glacier coach Ryan O'Rourke said.
"The guys know they can play better than they played today.
"We had moments of good play, but it wasn't consistent enough," added O'Rourke.
Glacier outshot Big Sky on goal 10-8.
Big Sky led in corner kicks 7-3.
"Overall, we had better chances throughout the game, quality looks on goal," O'Rourke said.
"We just didn't capitalize today."
Glacier plays at Missoula Sentinel on Saturday, noon.

BIGFORK - Patrick Valentine and Talus Martin both scored two goals as Libby defeated Bigfork in Northern A play.
Robert Coyle and Austin Bunyea scored for Bigfork (0-6-1 overall and 0-3-1 league).
"Very pleased in the team play," Bigfork coach Keith Koslosky said.
"The guys played hard.
"Austin Gordon (forward) really got after it today ... pressured their back four aggressively."
Koslosky was also impressed with Coyle, a sophomore reserve.
"He came in and filled in admirably the last two days," Koslosky said.
"As a result of his hard work, he got two goals in two games."
Bigfork plays at Polson on Thursday, 5 p.m.
