Man hocks mom's pontoon boat

The Columbia Falls Police Department received a report that a man went onto his mother’s property on Sixth Avenue West and stole a pontoon boat, which he then pawned.

The Kalispell Police Department received a report of two men entering a bar and punching a man before leaving. The victim told police he didn’t want to press charges because he owes the suspects money.

A report was made of 15 to 20 people having a huge party, fighting, screaming and “definitely drunk” along with eight to 10 cars behind two businesses on Third Street West.

A person at an elementary school reported to police that he or she had been notified a child’s father was “in no shape” to come pick him up after school. The father, who reportedly was intoxicated, was eventually brought to the school by a co-worker. The co-worker gave both the father and child a ride home.

A man was arrested on a theft charge after he and a woman were apprehended for allegedly attempting to shoplift from a store on U.S. 93 South.

Stereo equipment was reported stolen from a vehicle near the intersection of Sixth Street West and Seventh Avenue West.

A vehicle was reported broken into and two sets of Craftsman wrenches taken on Ninth Avenue West.

A stereo head and laptop were reported stolen from a vehicle on Sixth Street West.

A backpack full of winter gear was reported stolen from an unlocked tool box on a truck parked on Sixth Avenue West.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a man who said he had ADHD, had just drunk a pot of coffee and was talking to his mom on the phone when she started chanting and said she had the “power of the spirit” inside her. He worried that she was possibly on methamphetamine. The mother was located, and the report was determined to be unfounded.

A salon in Kalispell reported an approximately 60-year-old woman had just shown up, bruised from head to toe, and seemed very confused. She said she wanted a hair cut, but then left without getting one.

A person reported someone threw a glass bottle at his or her 9-year-old son on Evergreen Drive in Kalispell while he was playing outside. According to the caller, people throwing things out of passing vehicles at children is a recurring problem, particularly around 4 p.m.

Officers picked up a third-grade student from a Kalispell school who was reportedly being violent. The child was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center for a mental health evaluation, where he was met by his mother.

A safe containing roughly $4,300 was reported stolen from a home on Shady Lane in Kalispell.

A vehicle was broken into and a wallet stolen on Shady Lane. The wallet was later found but was missing credit cards.

A vehicle was broken into and a purse stolen on Whalebone Drive near Kalispell.

Both license plates were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in front of a business on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a vehicle stolen from the parking lot of Polson Middle School.
