Boys reportedly threaten girl with knife

The Kalispell Police Department received a report that two boys age 7 to 10 years old pulled a pocket knife on a little girl, who ran into her apartment yelling for her mother to help her. Officers located the boys’ home, but were unable to find the boys themselves.

A woman reported her ex had smashed her car with a metal baseball bat and threatened to hit her while she was at his house picking up their children. After she and the children got inside the vehicle, he reportedly hit the side door with the bat and ripped the side mirror off. She said he told her he was at her house with police because she refused to take their children on a night that he was supposed to have them.

A man reported he heard two gunshots, which sounded like they came from a .38 special, two houses south of his location on College Avenue. Officers responded to the scene and found the people there had heard nothing, but had dropped a ladder and thought that might be what the man had heard.

Officers responded to a report of a man who had beat a woman on Airport Road so that she needed medical attention. The woman was transported to the Kalispell Regional Medical Center, and the man was taken into custody.

It was reported that a man stole beer from a store on Third Avenue East.

Sports equipment and an iPod with a charger were reported stolen from a vehicle on Sixth Avenue West.

A mountain bicycle was reported stolen on First Avenue East.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report of assault on Montana 40 West in Columbia Falls.

A burglary was reported on Cottonwood Drive in Kalispell.

A theft was reported on U.S. 93 South in Somers.

A burglary was reported on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell.

An incident of animal cruelty was reported on Cemetery Road in Kalispell.

A vehicle was reported stolen on Montana 82 in Bigfork.
