| September 25, 2011 7:07 PM

Patricia M. (Stevens McSloy) Miller, 68, passed away peacefully at her home in Ronan on Sept. 24, 2011.

Born April 15, 1943, in Missoula to Maryann and Gordon Stevens, Pat attended schools in various towns in Montana and Tacoma, Wash. The family returned to Montana in 1958 and she graduated from Ronan High School in 1961. It was here Pat met the love of her life, Larry Miller, and married him in June 1961. She and Larry have lived in Ronan all their married life and raised two children, Dina and Scott.

Pat worked as a waitress in local restaurants, including 23 years at the 4B's in Polson at the time she retired in 2002.

Pat enjoyed raising her wonderful children and grandchildren, gardening, crocheting, photography and planting many flowers in the yard every spring. In June, Pat and Larry celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, surrounded by family and friends who will miss so many things, her ear to always listen to problems and the many goodies that she made with love and always took out the calories.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, stepfather, sister Judith and brother Frank.

Survivors include her loving husband Larry; daughter Dina Wilson (Jay) of Libby; son Scott Miller (Lori Tromp) of Ephrata, Wash.; sisters Penny Gosney (Jerry) of Milwaukie, Ore.; Donna Burland of Kalispell; Kathy Hill (Chuck Schultz) of Kalispell; brothers Don McSloy (Maryann) and Lloyd McSloy (Jolie Fish), both of Columbia Falls; grandchildren Kristopher Wilson (Sheri) of Kalispell; Andrew Miller (Tanya) of Moses Lake, Wash.; Brendon Miller of Polson; Katarina Wilson of Kalispell; and Kaleb Wilson of Libby. Everyone who knew her dearly loved her.

A memorial service is being planned and details will be announced later. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family online at www.groganfuneralhome.com.

The staff of Grogan Funeral Home and Crematory in Polson considers it a privilege to care for Mrs. Miller's family.
