Bruce Alan Laws, 52
Bruce Alan Laws, 52, passed peacefully on Sept. 22, 2011, at his home in Kalispell, due to Lou Gehrig's disease/ALS.
He was born April 25, 1959, in Hot Springs and raised in Thompson Falls. He graduated from Thompson Falls High School.
Bruce had worked at Plum Creek as a mill worker, was a grounds keeper at Buffalo Hill Golf Course, and worked as a painter in the construction field. He was also a volunteer fireman.
Bruce was well known for the Easter egg hunts he organized in his backyard for the community.
He was an avid golfer and fisherman. He also enjoy water-skiing, playing cribbage and other games, activities with family and friends, and music. Bruce was a natural charmer, an awesome friend, and a "professional" uncle.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alice and Earl Oliver, and Leonard Laws; his parents, William L. Laws and Alice "Billie" Laws; his daughter, Camille; and a brother, Richard Johnson.
Bruce is survived by his brothers, Jack Laws and Frank Laws; his sister, Jennifer, and husband, Michael Beatty; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. today, Sept. 27, at the Salvation Army, 100 Bountiful Dr., Kalispell. Burial will be a Glacier Memorial Gardens.
