Allan Lee Jones, 65

Allan Lee Jones, 65, passed away at his home in Kalispell the morning of April 17, 2012.

He was born July 10, 1946, in Lewistown, the son of Delmont W. Jones and Elnona Ljungman Hayes. Allan attended school in Lewistown.

He began guitar lessons at a young age and learned to play and enjoy this instrument, which became his lifelong hobby. Allan also enjoyed hunting, fishing and picking berries in the beautiful Montana mountains, and spending winters in Arizona.

Allen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the U.S. Army, worked for the Department of Highways in both Montana and Oregon, and at one time owned the sports shop Flicker Tail Sporting Goods in Kalispell. Allan was also a member of the Kalispell Moose Lodge and the Eagles Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 35 years, Bettie Lucille Gamber; and a brother, Gene Hayes.

Allan is survived by his dear friend, Debbie Kerouac, of Kalispell; three stepsons, Stephen, Gary and Ronald Lemens; along with five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren in the Sedalia, Mo., area; and a sister, Helen Humphreys, of Pocatello, Idaho.

He will be sadly missed by many.

A celebration for life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at the Moose Lodge.

Arrangements for cremation are under the direction of the Buffalo Hill Funeral Home in Kalispell.
