BOZEMAN — Bigfork’s Donald Tudahl, a junior tight end at Montana State, has been suspended from the football program for violating the student-athlete code of conduct, MSU head coach Rob Ash announced Thursday.

Tudahl played in all 13 games last season as the team’s long snapper.

Ash indicated that there will be no further comment on the issue at this time.

The 21-year-old pleaded not guilty Thursday in Flathead District Court to aggravated assault.

According to a court document, Donald Tudahl was working as a bouncer at the Garden Bar in Bigfork on July 1, when a customer got “lippy” and shoved him.

Tudahl allegedly punched the customer in the face one time, breaking his nose and possibly breaking his jaw.

If convicted, Tudahl faces up to 20 years in jail and a fine of up to $50,000.

Tudahl’s next hearing is scheduled for Oct. 31.
