Zinke is wrong to go after Obama

According to this newspaper and Politicker.com (a propaganda arm of the far right) Ryan Zinke is setting up a political action committee to be the voice of Special Forces and other military. Zinke wants to gain national political popularity by convincing veterans (all branches) that Obama is dangerous to America although Obama is considered to have done a good job in foreign matters (including national security).

This seems a ludicrous assertion considering the Bush-Cheney team had done everything they could to destroy whatever ethics this country has for their mutual greedy benefit.

Zinke claims Obama took credit for killing Osama bin Laden for political reasons and exposed our troops to danger by leaks of classified information, etc. This sort of lying came right from the playbook of the far right. Obama made a tough command decision, and due to the excellent plan and courageous action of Special Forces, bin Laden was killed and they secured important documents for our intelligence. Obama gave the credit to them, and stood aside as best he could but he couldn’t go into a monastery and shouldn’t and Zinke knows it.

Obama is the commander in chief just as was the cowardly G.W. Bush who postured that all countries that protected bin Laden would pay. That would include Pakistan. There have been many Special Forces members who were angry when Bush transferred them from Afghanistan to waste their well-trained talents in Bush’s trumped-up war in Iraq. A number of the Special Forces stated clearly in books and on TV that they had bin Laden trapped in the Tora Bora Mountains and disagreed with the incompetent Bush withdrawing them from their mission.

On July 26, Admiral William McRaven, the Special Forces commander head of the bin Laden raid, was interviewed and said it was the president of the United States who ordered the raid and when McRaven was asked whether Obama deserved credit he replied “absolutely, he does.” He said Obama was a “fantastic” commander-in-chief. Just like in the case of Chief Justice Roberts, McRaven has been attacked by the far right for not being loyal to their causes.

Bush No. 43, along with his mentor and unelected co-president, Cheney, murdered many and maimed many of our military personnel for life (the Iraq- Afghanistan Wars). Bush was a civilian felon (a SEC criminal violation, but dismissed by Daddy Bush No. 41) and a cowardly draft dodger (hiding in a reserve unit known to shield connected sons against active service during the Vietnam War just as did Dan Quayle, VP to Bush 41.

G.W. Bush was also a disgraceful reservist who should have been court-martialed on many counts. He, Cheney and others of his administration lied to the citizenry by using kindergarten propaganda on gullible Americans to propagate the Iraq War. Cheney, the draft dodger, conned the government into giving him five successive deferments, and bragged, “I had better things to do.” Cheney made millions for himself (one figure estimated is about $61 million) and his friends (certainly including corporations) for decades to the detriment of our country. Both of them should be imprisoned for life without a chance of parole as should many of their minions.

They propelled this country whirlpooling down into its recent financial crisis and I directly include the Enron criminal disaster. They ignored constitutional restraints and protections in their despotic rule having no sense of duty or loyalty to this country.

It is interesting that Zinke wants to elect another draft dodger, Romney, a coward, who easily worked a deal with his Mormon Church to be assigned missionary work “in France” to gain a deferment from Vietnam combat (missionary work in France is tough duty). Evidently draft dodgers are OK guys for the presidency pursuant to Zinke’s political beliefs.

I recommend that members of the Special Forces and other-now-serving military (and all veterans) think about the evils perpetrated against our soldiers who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan (and the intolerable grief imposed on their families) by the Bush-Cheney malfeasance, lies and greed. Also check Obama’s favorable record helping veterans.
