Kalispell man killed in crash near Avon

HELENA (AP) — A pickup slid off icy U.S. 12 near Avon and rolled, killing the driver.

The Montana Highway Patrol says a Kalispell man died in the crash at 4:35 a.m. Sunday.

The patrol says the man lost control of his pickup on the slick roadway, skidded off the road and rolled several times, with the pickup coming to rest against an embankment. The man was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from his pickup and died at the scene.

The man’s name and age were being withheld while family members were notified.
