Troublemakers make a mess in Somers

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday from a man who said he left his truck at the Somers Post Office Saturday night because he was too drunk to drive. The man said two chain saws and a gas can had been stolen from the vehicle.

Soon after, there was a report of Christmas decorations ransacked in the same area on Somers Road, along with broken beer bottles left in a parking lot and decorations left on the hood of a parked vehicle.

A man calling from Antelope Trail in the Whitefish area reported that his girlfriend’s teenage son was threatening him. A deputy ended up arresting a person for partner-family member assault.

There was a report of mailboxes vandalized on Tall Pine Ridge in the Kalispell area.

Someone calling from Lone Coyote Trail in the Kalispell area reported that a row of mailboxes had been demolished.

There was a report of men fighting in the Hutton Ranch Road area on the north side of Kalispell.

A man calling from 12th Street East North in the Columbia Falls area reported coming home to find belongings missing and moved.

At about 4 a.m. Monday, a man calling from Birch Grove Road reported that one of his employees was going to buy a camper but didn’t, but the caller had located the camper on the employee’s property. He also reported that a chain saw and other belongings are missing.

 

Kalispell Police got a call Sunday night from a woman at an East Idaho address who had an unwanted person in her room who was breaking things. Officers ended up arresting a man for criminal mischief.

Earlier in the day, a woman calling from Woodland Drive reported that her boyfriend was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend at a Third Avenue East location, but no one was injured.

A person calling from South Main Street reported that someone witnessed several people trying to break into the reporting party’s vehicle, but the witness scared them off.

There was a report of a purse stolen from a vehicle on U.S. 93 South.

At about 2 a.m. Monday, there was a report regarding a truck canopy in the middle of East Idaho Street. The owner was present to remove the hazard.

At about 4:30 a.m. Monday, there was a report of an intoxicated woman causing a disturbance at a residence on Eighth Avenue West. The woman was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
