MISSOULA — Glacier wrestling suffered it’s first dual loss of the season on Thursday, dropping a contest at Sentinel 50-31.

“It was a rough one for us,” Glacier coach Mark Fischer said. “You know there’s a lot of good that came out of losing this match. There’s a lot of pressure off. We realize we’re a different team from last year.”

In one of the biggest matches of the night, 160-pounder Jackson Barber earned a decision over Michael Cloud 12-5, avenging a loss from last weekend’s Polson Invitational.

While they got the decision there, Glacier wasn’t able to pull out many more turnarounds.

“We had a lot of kids try to make things happen rather than stay in good position,” Fischer said. “We need to go out and relax and wrestle.”

The Wolfpack wrestles in the Mining City duals today. They open in a pool with Sentinel, Billings West and Belgrade.
