NW/SW Tipoff: C-Falls girls blow out Anaconda

HAMILTON — Columbia Falls rode the scoring of Haley Belgarde, 19 points, Winter Kemppainen, 16, and Hope Burlage, 11, to a 69-46 victory over Anaconda at the Northwest-Southwest Tip-off Basketball Tournament on Friday.

Columbia Falls blew the game open with a 34-point second half.

Courtney Moodry tallied 15 points for Anaconda.

HAMILTON — Lakyn Connors scored 16 points to carry Corvallis to a tight victory over Libby.

Hannah England led Libby in scoring with seven points.

Libby led 15-13 at the half.

HAMILTON — Hamilton took a commanding first-half lead in dropping Bigfork.

Hamilton led 30-12 at intermission.

Taylor Goligoski paced Hamilton offensively with 15 points.

Tessa Robertson had 11 points and Shelby Scoggins 10 for Bigfork.

HAMILTON — Alycia Sims tossed in 18 points and Carly Vercruyssen netted 10 to help Stevensville edge Frenchtown.

Frenchtown had one player in double-figure scoring — Kayla Blood with 11 points.

The game was a nip-and-tuck affair the entire way.

HAMILTON — Polson never recovered from a slow start, falling to Dillon by 12 points.

Dillon led 14-5 and 20-11 after the first two quarter stops and outscored Polson 13-6 in third quarter.

Alex Rouse tallied 13 points for Dillon. Heidi Rausch had a team-high 10 for Polson.

Ronan used two big quarters — 12 points in the first and 18 in the third — to take command.

Simone Craft led Whitefish offensively with 10 points.
