Kazlauskas, Presnell help Columbia Falls tip Corvallis

HAMILTON — Columbia Falls closed with an 18-point fourth quarter to close out Corvallis 56-44 on Saturday on the final day of the boys basketball Northwest-Southwest Tip-off Tournament.

Columbia Falls (2-0) led 24-16 at the half.

Luke Kazlauskas paced Columbia Falls, and all scorers, with 25 points. Alex Presnell added 12.

Jansen Jessop topped Corvallis (1-1) with 12.

HAMILTON — Stevensville used strong second and third quarters to break away from Libby (0-2).

Stevensville (2-0) outscored the Loggers 33-15 in those two periods.

Zach Gavlak scored 17 points for the victors.

Libby’s Jared Winslow tossed in a game-high 18 points.

HAMILTON — Defending state champion Dillon managed to hold off a determined charge by Bigfork.

Bigfork (1-1) jumped out to a 14-7 lead, but trailed at the half 23-20.

Boyd Jenne dropped 14 points for Dillon (2-0).

Seth Roessmann scored 11 for Bigfork.

HAMILTON — Steady scoring by Frenchtown carried the Broncs to an easy win over Ronan.

Frenchtown (1-1) scored at least 16 points in every quarter, closing with 20 in the fourth.

Levi Shepard tallied 25 points and John Chapman 24 for Frenchtown.

Zachary Wagner had 12 for Ronan.
