Clerks at four stores cited for selling alcohol

Kalispell police identified four businesses violating alcohol laws during compliance checks on Nov. 29.

According to a news release, clerks at the west location of Michael’s Exxon, Four Corners Town Pump, Brian’s Conoco and Woodland Quick Stop were cited for unlawful transactions with a minor after selling alcohol to underage operatives with the Alcohol Enforcement Team.

Those who passed the compliance tests were Walmart, Town Pump locations on East Idaho Street and West Idaho Street, Holiday Gas, Lane’s Conoco, Rosauers, all Cenex Zip Trip locations, Super 1 Foods, Smith’s Food and Drug, one location of Michael’s Exxon, Appleway Conoco, Albertsons, Janelli’s Deli and Walgreens.

The Alcohol Enforcement Team is a multi-jurisdictional task force including personnel from law enforcement agencies throughout the valley as well as the U.S. Forest Service and Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.
