Flathead to host state 4-H horse show

The Flathead County 4-H program has won the bid to hold the state 4-H horse show in Kalispell next September.

The show is scheduled Sept. 13-15, 2013, at Majestic Valley Arena, Flathead County Extension 4-H agent Tammy Walker told the Flathead County commissioners on Tuesday.

“It’s the first time the state show has been here since the early ’90s,” she said.

The bid also allows Flathead County the option to hold the state show here in 2014.

With 100 youths in the Flathead 4-H horse program, the state show should be sizable, Walker said.
