WF burglar sentenced

A 21-year-old Whitefish man was given a 10-year suspended sentence Dec. 13 in Flathead District Court after pleading guilty to a reduced charge of felony burglary.

Tyler Ferguson was initially charged with felony sexual intercourse without consent, but that was reduced to the burglary charge, which Ferguson pleaded guilty to during a change of plea hearing on Oct. 19.

According to the amended charge of burglary filed by the Flathead County Attorney’s Office, Ferguson entered the residence of a girl and knowingly or purposely committed the offense of sexual intercourse without consent.
