A 26-year-old Kalispell woman pleaded not guilty Thursday in Flathead District Court to a felony charge of burglary.

Mandi Anderson is alleged to have removed several window screens at the Buffalo Hill Drive home of her uncle and entered the home with her boyfriend, Derrick Jackson, 27, Kalispell.

The homeowner’s brother called police after reportedly seeing the two inside.

Jackson was later discovered hiding behind some trees in the neighborhood and admitted that they had entered the home without permission. He has since pleaded guilty to felony burglary, for which he was given a 10-year suspended sentence on Dec. 6 and ordered to pay $24,580 in restitution.

According to a court document, Anderson later admitted entering the home and taking several items.

If convicted, Anderson faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $50,000 as well as any necessary restitution. Her next hearing is scheduled for March 6.
