Boys basketball roundup: Whitefish boys outlast Vikings
BIGFORK — The Whitefish boys took down Bigfork 60-54 in overtime of a nonconference basketball game Friday.
E.J. Havens scored 17 points to lead Whitefish, which had four double-figure scorers. Keaton Nicholson scored 14, Cooper Olson 12 and Logan Harwood 11.
Whitefish led 29-26 at halftime and maintained its three-point advantage after three quarters.
Bigfork made up its deficit in the fourth by outscoring Whitefish 18-15, but the Bulldogs came back in overtime with a 10-4 run.
Austin Jordt led Bigfork with 15 points. Colter Trent scored 10 and Chris Landon and Seth Roessman each netted eight.
Whitefish hosts Frenchtown in its conference opener today at 7 p.m.
Bigfork hosts 7B opponent St. Ignatius today at 6 p.m.

POLSON — The Polson boys struggled to shoot, both from the field and at the free-throw line, losing a sloppy game to Lake County rival Ronan.
The Pirates shot less than 30 percent for the game, missing a pair of free throws with 7 seconds left that could have tied the game.
Ronan’s Tim Woll had a game-high nine points. Cedrick Smith led the Pirates with six points.
Polson is off for the holiday break until Jan. 5 when it hosts Missoula Loyola.
