A.J. Schnetter puts some touches on an eight-layer R2D2 cake that will be more than three tall when itÕs done. Schnetter has been working on the Star Wars cake for the last two weeks as part of Flathead Valley Community CollegeÕs culinary program. As part of this yearÕs curriculum, 13 students are making cakes that have nowhere to go. ÒWeÕll auction any of them off,Ó said Chef Hillary Ginepra, the program instructor. ÒThese are their first cakes. These are pretty impressive for people who have never done this before.Ó Anyone interested in the classÕs made-from-scratch cakes can call Chef Hillary at 756-3862.
