Police take drunk man into custody

An inebriated man at a store on U.S. 2 West aroused suspicion in an employee who contacted the Kalispell Police Department after he tried to buy beer. The employee reported the man was drunk and that the front of his car was smashed and his face banged up. The man was arrested. A woman was also taken into custody before being released to her sister.

A thief went straight to the source to steal drug supplies, taking used needles and residual drugs from a hospital.

A student at a Kalispell high school was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

A business on Hutton Ranch Road reported a man and woman attempting to return merchandise they had stolen earlier in the day from a store in Whitefish. The pair left before officers arrived.

A resident of Third Avenue East reported clothes, movies and other miscellaneous items stolen from him. The wronged party suspected his sister was the thief.

The manager of an apartment building on Two Mile Drive reported being told by several tenants that a man keeps visiting a friend at the building early in the morning and smoking marijuana outside in a truck.

An East Idaho Street resident reported he believed someone may have tried to steal one of his vehicles after he found a flashlight and “special tape” next to it.

A business on East Idaho Street reported graffiti on the side of its building.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report of partner or family member assault on First Street West.

The Whitefish Police Department received a report of theft on U.S. 93 South.
