Unusual caller asks for ambulance

A man ranting about aliens and heaven and being worshipped in a volcano told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office that he wanted an ambulance to come pick him up Wednesday afternoon. After telling dispatch that he was a girl, God and then dead, the man said he would go out on Haywire Gulch to wait and that he looks just like a Christmas tree.

Earlier in the day, a caller on Kila Road reported a front lobby door kicked and the glass broken. The caller said it may have been an accident.

Deputies investigated a harassment report on Stoner Creek Road.

A man on Birch Drive wanted to talk to a deputy about change stolen out of his car about 12 times in the last four months. The last time it happened was December. The man told dispatch that he doesn’t lock his car doors but continues to leave change and other items in it.

Someone on U.S. 93 complained that a man continues to throw a puppy out the door and onto the porch and kick another dog at the residence.

A woman on Haskill Basin Road told police that while she was walking her dog, a neighbor’s dog came out and attacked hers.

Boys believed to be on Dee Drive in Columbia Falls called 911 with a deactivated cellphone, saying, “Where we at, where we at, huh, where we at.” Deputies stopped by two houses but could not locate them.

A woman on Lake Blaine Road told police that two seventh-grade boys keep punching her son, who is in the third grade.

A man reported the theft of a bike on U.S. 93 to the Kalispell Police Department Thursday morning.

A woman on Hutton Ranch Road reported a suspicious vehicle with two occupants sitting in the parking lot across from the bank. The vehicle has been coming and sitting in the parking lot off and on all week. She said she was concerned they were “watching” the bank. The suspects told police they have better cell service there and meditate while up there. They agreed to move on.

A woman on East Washington Street reported her garbage can had been spray-painted. She wanted to know if police are keeping track of these incidents, because she believes they’re gang-related. An officer reported it appears to be old graffiti on a garbage can.

Late Wednesday night, a bartender told police that a female patron threw a bottle at a man and hit him in the head. The man refused medical attention but said he wanted to press charges.

Earlier, a caller reported suspicious activity in a car wash bay on U.S. 93. Police found the subjects were installing a stereo and had permission to use the bay.

Someone reported an iPod stolen from a son’s locker at school last Friday.

Extension cords were reported stolen from a house on East California Street.

A driver reported seeing a house in the Empire Loop subdivision smoking with a black spot on the roof. The smoke turned out to be steam from a dryer vent.

A woman on Sinopah Street told police she was assaulted by her 17-year-old daughter, who shoved her. The parties were counseled and separated for the night.

A man stopped by the police lobby to register as a sex offender.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report of identity theft on Sunny Slope Drive Wednesday.

The Polson Polson Department arrested someone for driving under the influence.

The Columbia Falls Police Department responded to a report of a boy caught shoplifting on Ninth Street West Wednesday morning.
