Stillwater Log Jam

As an excavator removes debris and trees from a log jam on the Stillwater River, Flathead County Road and Bridge workers use chainsaws to cut the larger logs into smaller pieces Thursday morning. The log jam is being removed to help prevent flooding as well as make the river safer for recreational use.
