 United Way takes agency applications

The United Way of Northwest Montana is accepting applications from human service agencies for inclusion in the fall 2012 United Way campaign and listing in the Combined Federal Campaign and the State Charitable Giving Campaign brochures.

To be eligible, agencies must be nonprofit and hold 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status with the Internal Revenue Service, their services must be based in Northwest Montana, and the organization must operate under a board of directors.

The agencies also must be able to demonstrate fiscal and program accountability and meet all campaign requirements. Current United Way Member agencies need not apply at this time.

Agencies that are registered in the fall 2012 campaign will be eligible to receive any donor designations that are directed to their specific agency. Agencies and federations will be charged a registration fee to assist with printing costs.

Agencies interested in obtaining an application should contact the United Way  by calling 752-7266 or 1-888-720-7266; or by writing to P.O. Box 7217, Kalispell, MT 59904.

Deadline for submission of the application packet is March 26.
