Man pulled out of pond, in critical condition

Sunday afternoon, Kalispell Police Department officers responded to a report of an unresponsive man in a pond along a walking path on Sylvan Drive.

According to dispatch records, the man had no obvious injuries. He was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center. Hospital staff said the 30-year-old man was in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

Earlier Sunday, a panhandler was asked to leave a business on U.S. 93.

A man reported finding the back door of a business on East Idaho Street kicked in.

A fight reported on East Idaho Street turned out to be some unhappy people. Parties were counseled and separated.

A man on West Utah Street reported a highly intoxicated 22-year-old woman had stopped breathing after she threw up, but was breathing and conscious again. He said the woman didn’t need medical attention, that she was just “really, really drunk” and he would stay up the rest of the night to take care of her. Police later advised the woman refused medical attention.

A woman on Fifth Avenue West told police her son brought six friends home. She asked them to leave and they refused. She told police she thought they were drinking alcohol in the garage. Police arrived and the juveniles were returned to their parents.

A truck’s tires were reported slashed on Aurich Avenue.

Late Saturday night, a caller on Second Avenue West reported finding a large piece of meat in the laundry room.

Saturday evening, a man on Ponderosa Street reported an 18-year-old girl was missing. She went for a walk at about 9 p.m. Friday night and never returned home, the man said. Police advised they would try to help mediate the problem, but the girl is 18 and can’t be reported as a runaway juvenile. Sunday evening, police would say only that they are collaborating with the school resource officer on the issue.

Earlier Saturday, a mother reported that she and her 14-year-old daughter got in a fight and the girl walked off. The girl was returned home by police.

Police were asked to respond to Jossie Lane and hold a man for a mental health evaluation if he was found. The man had threatened to shoot everyone and then himself at a store on Hutton Ranch Road.

A woman on Fifth Avenue East said her 13-year-old daughter got a text message with a picture of a black man’s body part. Police made contact with the person who sent the message and they had the wrong number.

Someone reported a truck with a stolen license plate on it.

Four or five people were reported for smoking on school property on Wolfpack Way.

Sunday afternoon, the ALERT helicopter was sent to a medical emergency at Big Mountain. A 50-year-old man had reportedly collapsed from cardiac arrest. The man died.

Deputies with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office arrested someone for driving under the influence after responding to an accident with property damage on Mollman Pass Trail early Saturday morning.

Later that afternoon, deputies cited someone for possession of drug paraphernalia on Dumontier Road.

The Polson Police Department cited someone for disorderly conduct after responding to a noise disturbance reported at a bar early Saturday morning.

Someone was arrested for a probation violation after suspicious activity was reported at a hotel.

Police arrested someone for aggravated assault after responding to a report of disorderly conduct at a restaurant.

Saturday afternoon, police cited someone for criminal mischief after vandalism was reported on Fifth Avenue West.

The Ronan Police Department cited someone for criminal contempt after responding to a weapons complaint at a bar Saturday evening.
