More fun than a barrel of monkeys

A report of screaming, yelling, doors slamming and furniture being thrown into the walls in an apartment on Liberty Street, when investigated by officers with the Kalispell Police Department, turned out to be people playing a home version of the game show “Minute to Win It.”

Two people were reported standing on the top of a building on Second Avenue West and shining red and blue laser lights through other people’s windows.

A Second Avenue East resident reported being assaulted by a man who pushed her into a door and tried to grab her around the neck.

A Fourth Avenue East resident said her neighbor’s cat got in her furnace duct. It eventually got out and ran out the door.

A speaker was stolen out of a truck on Sunny View Lane.

A check was stolen on Third Avenue East and later forged.

Lens magnifiers were reported stolen from an electronics store on Hutton Ranch Road.

Mail was stolen on Second Avenue East.

Deputies with the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office had to speak with an 8-year-old boy after someone on Klondyke Loop in Somers complained about him playing the drums for more than a week, asking for him to quiet down — or, at the very least, to close the garage door!

A distracted driver talking on a cell phone wandered into the opposing lane of Montana 82 in Somers, where she was almost hit by a logging truck. She reportedly weaved all over the road and kept slowing down to 20 miles per hour, then speeding up to 50 miles per hour. But there is a happy ending: She reportedly later got her vehicle stuck on the side of the road.

A man was arrested for partner or family member assault after deputies responded to a report of two brothers fighting on Maple Drive in Evergreen.

A pair of diamond earrings were reported stolen from a home on Sandbox Lane in Columbia Falls.

The Whitefish Police Department received a report of theft on U.S. 93 South.

Criminal mischief was reported on Central Avenue.

Officers with the Polson Police Department arrested a person for violating probation.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft on Narrows Road in Polson.
