Girl injured in dog attack at Creston
A vicious dog attack reported near Riverside Road in Creston on Saturday left a 7-year-old girl with extensive injuries.
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office responded at about 11:51 a.m. with Animal Control officers, Creston Fire and Kalispell Ambulance, according to a press release by Sheriff Chuck Curry.
Initial findings indicate the girl was attacked by four American Bulldogs, Curry said.
Reports indicate the girl and her father were here from out of town visiting friends, and that she and a female adult were playing outside the residence when the attack allegedly occurred.
The girl sustained extensive injuries and was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center for treatment.
According to Curry, the four dogs were secured by Animal Control officers and taken to the Flathead County Animal Shelter.
The incident remains under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time, he said.
