Mae Thompson, 93

Mae Thompson, 93, died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011, at her home from natural causes.

Mae was born Oct. 17, 1918, in Lustre, Mont., to Edward G. Brownlee and Nellie Brownlee.

She was an avid golfer and a member of a bowling league for many years. She enjoyed sewing and quilting.

Mae was married to Walter Thompson. Together they owned the Orpheum Theater in Whitefish.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walt.

Mae is survived by her children, daughter Karen Benson and husband Ken of Missoula, son Don Thompson and wife Val of Wells, Nev., and daughter Julie Norby of Whitefish.

A private family service will be held in the summer.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Whitefish Fire Department, 275 Flathead Ave., Whitefish, MT 59937.
