Man and van wind up at wrong home
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report from a woman on Pheasant Road in Columbia Falls who said she found an unknown man passed out on a chair in her living room and a minivan in her driveway. The woman’s ex-husband and four children were also in the house with her. She believed her front door may have been unlocked. The man, believed to be in his early 20s, was transported to the Kalispell Regional Medical Center for treatment.
A resident of Helena Flats Road reported someone was shooting toward his home and that the shots were ricocheting off his tractor. When the resident went to his neighbor’s yard to investigate, he found his daughter being screamed at and cursed at by the gun-wielding neighbor because of the family dog having been in his yard. The man with the gun was arrested by deputies on a preliminary charge of criminal endangerment.
A resident of West Evergreen Drive reclaimed his stolen vehicle after it was located at a bar on Montana 35.
It was reported that several windows were broken out and a door was busted open at a smoke shop on Montana 35 in Evergreen.
A resident of Sunrise Creek Loop in Columbia Falls reported someone tried to gain access to his bank account after his computer was hacked over the weekend. He believed he knew a possible suspect in Washington.
Residents of Old Highway 2 East in Coram reported someone keeps ripping the newspaper delivery box out of the ground, as well as taking their newspapers and throwing them down the hill.
A resident of First Avenue South in Hungry Horse reported someone slashed two tires on his or her vehicle.
Mail was reported stolen from a mailbox on North Hill Road in Kalispell.
A subwoofer was reported stolen from a vehicle on Ridgewood Drive in Evergreen.
The Kalispell Police Department received a report from a man who said another man had sent their female friend a text saying they had left nude photos on her apartment doorstep. When they went to her apartment, they found an envelope with her name on it on her doorstep. They met the man who left the envelope at a community meal event. He later began calling and texting her also.
A resident of Fourth Avenue East reported someone had smashed out windows in his vehicles twice within four days, although it didn’t appear as though anything was taken.
A resident of First Avenue East reported his neighbors keep parking in front of his garage and someone had let the air out of his brand new tires.
A light blue Schwinn bicycle was reported stolen on Airport Road.
A theft was reported on Hutton Ranch Road.
The Columbia Falls Police Department received a report of a boy and girl, both teenagers, attempting to break into a storage unit on Crescent Drive before joining a bigger group next to an apartment building.
The Whitefish Police Department received a report of theft on Greenwood Drive.
Officers with the Ronan Police Department arrested a man who will face additional charges after resisting arrest on a charge of disorderly conduct at an apartment building.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a burglary on Third Avenue.
