Vandals attack mailboxes near Kalispell
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday regarding mailboxes being vandalized up and down Forest Hill Road in the Kalispell area.
A woman calling from Stanley Springs Drive in the Columbia Falls area reported that another woman had been beaten by her husband and that she had been unconscious for an unknown amount of time. Law enforcement is looking for the husband for partner-family member abuse.
There was a report of someone rummaging through a vehicle and a carport on Eighth Street West in the Kalispell area.
Someone reported finding a broken mirror and paint on a business vehicle, apparently the result of a hit-and-run on Big Mountain Road in the Whitefish area.
There was a report of someone attempting unsuccessfully to break into two sheds on Brook Drive in the Kalispell area.
A man called Kalispell Police Sunday night to report that he was lost somewhere on U.S. 2 on the west side of town, that he had been drinking and that he was on a bicycle and had fallen down “a few times.”
A man called to report that another man who assaulted him on New Year’s Eve was harassing him and threatening to burn down his home on Third Avenue West.
After a traffic stop on West Idaho Street, a woman was arrested for an unspecified reason at about 10 p.m. Sunday.
Monday at about 9:30 a.m., officers investigated a bomb threat at a store in Hutton Ranch Plaza that was reportedly made by girls from a cellphone inside the store.
A teenage boy was arrested for a probation violation on Fourth Avenue West and taken to juvenile detention.
There was a report of a fence vandalized on Fourth Avenue West.
