Pair of pit bulls chase woman

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Thursday from a woman who said she had been chased by two pit bulls in the area of Montana 206 near Columbia Falls.

A woman reported that her 19-year-old daughter had been assaulted by her boyfriend, who had been living at the mother’s Ridgewood Drive residence. She kicked him out, but he returned and was banging on the door because he wanted his belongings back.

There was a report of a drunk man urinating in public near a casino on U.S. 2 in Evergreen. The man was told to move along and not return.

A woman reported that a man had posted nude photos of her on the Internet, and she wanted the images removed and returned.

There was a report of windows broken out of a vehicle and two purses stolen on Whitefish Stage Road.

Monday, at about 3 a.m., a man reported that he posted a job opening on Craigslist and received a response from a man who wanted the job but was unqualified. The rejected man began making multiple harassing and threatening calls, and the reporting party wanted an end to it.


Kalispell Police cited two teenage boys for shoplifting at a store on U.S. 93 South.

A Second Street West resident reported that a suspicious man tried to enter his house, but fled when a light was turned on.

A Greatview Drive resident reported that a pistol had been stolen from his truck sometime over the last couple of days.

Monday, at about 1 a.m., a woman reported that someone had attempted to break into her car on U.S. 2 West. Nothing was taken.

There was a report of a coffee shop on West Center Street being broken into.

There was a report of two hand radios stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Whitefish Stage Road.


Officers with the Polson Police Department arrested a person on a preliminary charge of driving under the influence.

A burglary was reported at a restaurant.

An incident of criminal trespass was reported on 15th Avenue East.


The Columbia Falls Police Department received a report from a Talbot Road resident who said someone punched his truck, denting the passenger door.

A laptop was reported stolen on Third Avenue East.
