Man accused of punching woman
At about 5 a.m. Monday, Kalispell Police got a call from a woman in the Kalispell Regional Medical Center emergency room who said she had given a man a ride and that the man had punched her friend in the vehicle. The victim required medical treatment but did not want to pursue charges.
There was a report Sunday of a shoplifter running from a store in Hutton Ranch Plaza. The caller said the would-be thief was caught and held down by someone outside the store.
A man called from a motel on U.S. 93 South to report that suspicious people knocked on his room door and frightened him.
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report at about 5:20 a.m. Monday regarding three men with a baseball bat shattering the windows of a vehicle on Shady Lane, and then entering a residence without permission to threaten the vehicle’s owner.
A man calling from a Wettington Drive residence in the Kalispell area requested assistance in getting his ex-wife to leave Sunday. She eventually left on her own.
A person calling from a business on Montana 35 in Evergreen reported a theft of laundry.
A baby sitter called from the Martin City area to report that the mother of a 7-year-old girl was intoxicated when she picked up the girl and that she struck the girl. A deputy attempted to check on the child.
There was a report of a man assaulting a woman at an Evergreen Drive residence.
Columbia Falls Police got a call Sunday night from a man at a Nucleus Avenue bar who said he is a “Bandito” gang member and was afraid for his life. The man, who sounded intoxicated, got a ride home. It turned out he was not a Bandito.
