2 artists on tap in C. Falls

| July 4, 2012 6:00 PM

Music will begin early at the Columbia Falls Lions Club Summer Music Series concert July 12 at the bandshell in Marantette Park.

From 6:30 to 7:20 p.m., the Montana Midnight Guitar Trio will play classical, contemporary and jazz favorites on classical nylon-string guitars. They recently expanded their repertoire to include more rock and pop with percussion and vocals. Now audiences are as likely to hear a Vivaldi piece as a song by Duke Ellington or Santana — all performed on classical nylon-string guitars.

From 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., Sax-O-Phun will perform. The group is a saxophone quartet not limited to playing typical saxophone music.  They have an extensive repertoire, from marches to jazz to classical and religious pieces.

Audience members should bring lawn chairs.  A donation of $3 per person or $5 for a family is accepted and will go toward Lions Club projects.
