Whitefish Mountain Resort opens new zip line
Whitefish Mountain Resort opened a new zip line called Inspiration on Tuesday, expanding the popular amenity on Big Mountain.
“Our zip-line guests are really in for a treat,” Whitefish Mountain Resort President Dan Graves said. “We’ve already received high acclaim from our guests for the uniqueness of our zip lines, and the views of the mountain and valley. Inspiration might just be the best view yet.”
The resort offers two zip-line tours: a five-zip venue that’s two hours long, and a seven-zip that spans three hours and features an 1,800-foot-long line suspended 300 feet above the ground.
Spider Monkey Mountain, a 24-foot tower children can climb through on levels of nylon webbing and descend on a giant inflatable slide, opened Saturday.
Scheduled to open in August is the new Aerial Adventure Park. It will feature five courses ranging in difficulty from beginner to expert. Each course features elements such as suspended bridges, cable walkways, rolling elements, nets, ladders, trapezes and other obstacles. Participants wear full-body harnesses and maneuver through each course independently.
Through the summer months Whitefish Mountain Resort also offers scenic lift rides, lift-served mountain biking, the Alpine Slide and Walk in the Tree Tops, a guided nature tour that includes a bird’s-eye view of the forest upon an elevated boardwalk.
