Margaret L. Wildin, 100

Margaret L. Wildin, 100, a former civil service secretary, passed away of natural causes on Monday, July 2, 2012, at a care facility in Great Falls.

Mom was born on Feb. 14, 1912, at home in Sand Coulee to Frank and Mary Preputin. She was the next to the last of 10 siblings who have preceded her in death.

Mom graduated from Great Falls High School in 1930. She married Lyle Dean in June of 1931. They raised three boys in Great Falls, Donald, Gerald and Dennis.

Lyle and Margaret were divorced in March of 1951.

Mom went to work at Malmstrom Air Force Base and served as a civil engineering secretary for many years. She met Trevor Wildin while they were both working at MAFB. They were married in August 1965. She later transferred to the Federal Aviation Administration. They moved to Kalispell after they both retired from civil service, where they lived until Trevor passed away in 2009.

Mom returned to Great Falls and resided at Highgate Senior Living until she left us on July 2.

She leaves behind her three sons; three nieces; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Her family extends a special thanks to the great staff at Highgate for all of their care and help for Mom over the past two and a half years that she resided there. Also thanks to Hospice for their care and help.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Monday, July 9 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel in Great Falls, with a rosary service immediately following. The funeral liturgy will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, with Father Lou Krauth presiding. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Schnider Funeral Home in Great Falls is handling arrangements.

The family requests memorials be made in Margaret's name to a charity of one's choice.
