Ingeborg 'Inge' Hertha Anderson, 90
Ingeborg “Inge” Hertha Anderson, 90, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2012, at Brendan House in Kalispell.
She was born in 1922 in a small town in Germany, near the Black Forest.
Inge worked as a nurse with the Red Cross in World War II, and met her husband, John Melvin Anderson, a U.S. serviceman. They were married in 1954, and moved to the U.S. to raise three children. Her husband passed away in 1981.
Inge was a certified chef and worked in several restaurants, but her real love was cooking German favorites for her family, including rouladen and sauerkraut, and other favorites like lasagna and pomegranate jelly.
Inge moved to Kalispell in 1994. She spent her later years visiting friends and family, and passing on her German heritage.
Enge is survived by her children, Chris Anderson of California, Joni Jones of Kalispell, and Michael Anderson of California; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Tim, Holly, Jason, Megan, Krista, Mylissa and Myshelle; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for Inge’s family.
