Mary Mabel Donovan, 85

Mary Mabel Donovan, 85, of Billings, passed away Friday, July 6, 2012.

Mary was born on Oct. 31, 1926, to Carl and Nora Nommensen in Kalispell, where she was raised on the family farm. She had a long, rewarding career as a registered nurse in Great Falls and resided in Belt, until her retirement in 1991 when she moved to Billings.  

In earlier years, she enjoyed world travel with her husband, John Donovan (now deceased). When she came to Billings, her passion turned to gardening and caring for her grandchildren. Grandma was always there to help her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Mark Meyers; husband, John; and her eldest son, Tommy.

She is survived by her sons, Tim and Tracy; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place. At Mary's request, no services are planned.
