Iverson III two shots back at Men's Am
BILLINGS — Kalispell’s Larry Iverson III sits just two strokes back of the lead at the State Men’s Amateur at Briarwood Golf Club in Billings, carding an even-par 72 on Wednesday.
Iverson trails Billings’ Jake Hedges, Great Falls’ Ben Leetsma and Butte’s Ty Wengel, who each hold a share of the lead after shooting an opening round 70. Whitefish’s Shawn Tucker and Reed Platke sit one stroke back of Iverson in eighth place with rounds of 73.
Whitefish’s Tyler Schiff and Kalispell’s Ryan M. Porch and Grahm Schmaltz are close behind with scores of 75.
The Men’s Am runs through Saturday.
