Don't leave dogs in vehicles
The Kalispell Police Department is reaching out to residents on two issues that have been keeping them busy this summer.
According to a news release, the department continues to receive regular complaints of dogs left in unoccupied vehicles.
Dog owners are reminded that it can be very hazardous to leave dogs in vehicles during the summer and that officers will investigate such reports, taking legal action if appropriate.
Residents also are reminded that it is illegal to post signs on public property, including light poles, city boulevards and trees on city boulevards.
Officers ask residents not to post any more signs in such locations and to remove any currently posted signs.
