The Kalispell Lakers AA swept the Glacier Twins AA in the final two games of their regular season, taking both ends of a doubleheader at Griffin Field on Wednesday. The Lakers got on the board early in both games, scoring big in the early innings.

Kalispell scored three runs in the first inning of the opener, then scored twice more in the fourth inning to win the game 5-2. Nate Bengston went 2 for 2 and the Lakers got RBIs from Kendrick Lee, Dillon Matteson and Sean O’Connell.

O’Connell went 2 for 3 with a single and a triple in the nightcap, knocking in two runs in a 10-6 blowout win for the Lakers.

Kalispell scored all 10 runs in the first four innings, including five in the fourth inning alone. Dillon Eaves allowed just one earned run on two hits in the first six innings before the Twins were able to mount a late rally.

Glacier scored four runs in the seventh inning, but fell too far behind early in the game to catch up. Peter Seymour, who also knocked in a run in the opener, hit three RBIs in the nightcap, going 1 for 4 from the plate. Cory Davis had two RBIs in the second game.

The doubleheader marked the end of the regular season for the Lakers. Glacier heads to Medicine Hat this weekend for a three-game set to close its regular season.
