Neighbor dispute reaches sheriff
Deputies with the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received several calls in connection with a neighborhood dispute on Conrad Point Road in Lakeside.
The issue started when a resident reported two people on personal watercraft driving recklessly on Flathead Lake. The resident called a second time after his neighbor came to his house and threatened him for reporting the incident. He said the neighbor told him he was going to have the “Hells Angels come and get him.”
The final call came when the neighbors began having a loud party and walked over to the man’s house, standing just off his property and calling him names. The resident told police he was at the end of his rope and losing faith in law enforcement, saying he was ready for prison or to do anything for the issue to stop. He also said he was being threatened that Hells Angels members were going to “take care of him” at an upcoming wedding.
A resident of Smith Lake Road in Kila reported she noticed a bullet hole in her dining room wall behind a plant, and found that a bullet had entered one corner of the wall and exited through the adjacent wall about four feet up from the floor.
A woman reported a man for “running heroin” in the Kalispell area and warned deputies that if she caught him, she was going to take care of the problem herself.
A dog owned by a resident of Lone Juniper Lane in Columbia Falls brought home an unusual present for its master, dropping a piece of drug paraphernalia in the yard.
A man was arrested on Lore Lake Drive for violating a restraining order after making a gesture at his son like he was going to shoot him.
A woman was assaulted by her boyfriend on Shefferd Lane, sustaining several cuts and bruises from his striking her repeatedly in the face.
A concerned Political Hill Road resident in Lakeside reported seeing signs for a concert series including music and beer and a “raging bonfire,” wanting to know what the laws were regarding the events.
A Montana 35 resident reported receiving harassing phone calls from a fake bill collector who had threatened rape in the past.
An Elk Trail resident in Whitefish reported their neighbor was lighting off explosives, which they wanted him to stop because it was shaking their windows and bothering their dogs.
A woman requested her car not be towed for being parked in a time-limited space after she accidentally dropped her keys down a manhole.
A motorist reported a reckless driver who was smoking marijuana with his passengers.
Someone destroyed several mailboxes in the area of Middle Road in Columbia Falls.
Someone broke a window at a gym on School Addition Road in Somers.
The doors to three storage units on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell were kicked in, although it was unknown if anything was missing.
A staple gun and other tools were stolen from U.S. 2 West in Marion.
A shed on Mennonite Church Road was burglarized and several items taken.
According to Kalispell Police logs, a dog chased a man on Stratford Drive and bit the heel of his shoe. When the man confronted the dog’s owner, the owner yelled at him and the dog chased him again.
A Green Briar Drive man reported that his stepdaughter had been arrested two days earlier for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, and that he had now found a bag of marijuana in her trash can. He requested an officer come pick it up.
