Lose your jet ski? Call the sheriff's office

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday regarding an abandoned jet ski that was found along the Flathead River near Columbia Falls. There was an attempt to find out who it belonged to before it was taken to a county shop for storage.

After a physical disturbance involving a man and two women at apartments on U.S. 93 South of Whitefish, the man was arrested for assault.

There was a report from a Jellison Road address regarding a dirt bike that was stolen from the back of a pickup truck sometime Saturday night.

A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle at a Montclair Drive address. Shortly after the report, a security guard at Kalispell Regional Medical Center turned in the woman’s cell phone but he did not find her purse or the other belongings.

There was a report of disturbance between a man and woman in the area of the Montana 35 Stillwater River bridge. The man was bleeding and the woman was apparently the aggressor.

A high-powered pellet gun and another gun were stolen from a locked house on Jellison Road in the Columbia Falls area.

A woman calling from a Drake Drive address reported that her boyfriend turned off the power and water at the house because he was angry that she wanted to take a bath. The couple agreed to separate for the night and she was transported to a friend’s house.

A Maple Drive resident reported that her house was egged, possibly by some neighbors.

After getting a report that a man tried to break a woman’s arm and hit her in the face at a Chautauqua Lane residence in the Lakeside area, deputies arrested the man for domestic assault.

There was a report of tools being stolen from a home on Ashley Lake Road.

Early Monday, at about 3 a.m., a man calling from Park Avenue residence reported that his doorbell rang twice and he found his neighbor’s mailbox, torn out of the ground and left on his porch.


 

Kalispell Police got a report Sunday night regarding a man who was driving on a sidewalk in the Hutton Ranch Road area before parking sideways in a handicapped parking space in front of a store. He was cited for not having insurance, and officers found that when he entered the store he was carrying a handgun with multiple magazines.

After a traffic stop on Appleway Drive, a man was arrested for violating a restraining order and cited for driving with a suspended license.

There was a report of teenage boys throwing baseballs at vehicles on South Main Street.

Earlier in the day, a couple was removed from a hotel on U.S. 93 South after they failed to pay.

A person calling from a Second Avenue East North address reported that his skateboard was stolen Saturday night.

Monday morning, there was a report from a West Idaho Street address regarding a vehicle that had been keyed over the weekend.

A Northridge Drive resident reported finding a lawn chair and other items not belonging to her on her front lawn.


 

Columbia Falls Police got a report Sunday regarding a disorderly man who was told to leave a bar on Ninth Street West.

There was a report of two .22-caliber rifles being found on U.S. 2 in front of the Dairy Queen, and one of the guns appeared to have been run over.

An 11th Street West resident reported that a jar of change was stolen from the house sometime Saturday night.
